Kerri Jones

Kerri Mitchell Jones, daughter of Keith Mitchell and Terry Jo Bankhead Garrison, was born March 20, 1967, in Kennett, Missouri, and departed this life Monday, July 17, 2017, at the age of 50 years.

Kerri married Andrew Jones on Nov. 29, 1996, in Montgomery, Alabama.

She is survived by her husband, Andrew Jones of Cape Girardeau; her mother and stepfather, Terry Jo and Dr. Garry Garrison of Mississippi; her father and stepmother, Keith and Robbin Mitchell of Kennett; two children, Garrett Mitchell and Riley Catherine Jones of the home; four brothers, Brian Mitchell and wife Candy of Kennett, Dr. Joseph Mitchell and wife Dr. Elizabeth Wyatt Mitchell of Madison, Mississippi, Damon Scott Holligan of Nashville, Tennessee, and Norman Trey Garrison and wife Cindy of Dallas; two sisters, Meegan Mitchell Helmuth and husband Steven of Cincinnati and Candice Martin and husband Doug of Niceville, Ohio; other relatives; and many friends.

I am so grateful that I have had such an amazing mom. My heart aches for anyone who didn't to meet her at least once, as she's the most hysterical, wise and beautiful person I have ever known. She's been there for me and many of my friends throughout the darkest times and given the best advice a guy or gal could ever need. Each and every day, I see more of her in myself, and I strive to have the same carefree attitude and radiance. My mom is my biggest supporter, my role model and the coolest a mom could be. I am so proud of you for everything you've gone through and so thankful for everything you've done. I love you forever and always.

A private memorial service was held by the family.
