C. Kenneth "Kenny" Williams, 70, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, May 6, 2002, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born Sept. 15, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, son of William Jasper and Clara Luise Mirly Williams. He and Nancy Starke were married Oct. 15, 1983.
Williams was district manager in Cape Girardeau with Southwestern Bell Telephone 45 years. He played trumpet with numerous bands and orchestras in the Cape Girardeau and St. Louis areas. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood, Mo., and a member of Southwestern Bell Telephone Pioneers.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Campbell of Ballwin, Mo., Teresa Bean of Kansas City, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth Ponder of Cape Girardeau; and 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, a sister, two brothers, a stepsister and two stepbrothers.
Friends may call at St. Andrew Lutheran Church after 10 a.m. Friday.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Vernon Gundermann officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, Mo., is in charge of arrangements.
