MATTHEWS, Mo. -- Kenneth Wayne "Jack" Whybark, 50, of Matthews, formerly of Anniston, Mo., died Friday, July 27, 2001, at the Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton, Ky., after suffering an apparent heart attack.
He was born Aug. 20, 1950, in Anniston, Mo., son of Guy and Leatta Grubbs Whybark. He had lived near Matthews for the past 14 years and was a 1969 graduate of Charleston High School. A veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, he was employed for the past 20 years with Dale Tatum Construction Company.
He and Deborah Ann Ashley were married Jan. 3, 1976.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mandy Moore of East Prairie, Mo., and Kendra Whybark of the home; one sister, Linda Burner of Fayetteville, Tenn.; two brothers, James Whybark of East Prairie and Gary Whybark of Anniston; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one brother.
Visitation was held Saturday at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. No memorial services were held. Shelby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
