BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- Kenneth D. White, 66, of Bloomfield passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 8, 1951, in Bragg City, Missouri, the son of Flaudie and Lillian Spence White.
Kenneth had worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation for several years, working out of the Advance, Missouri, Shed.
He was ordained at St. Joe General Baptist Church in 1979. He had been a General Baptist minister for many years. His faith was strong. He baptized and officiated over the weddings of his nieces and nephews.
Kenneth and Velma Cooper were united in marriage Dec. 5, 1970, at Oak Ridge General Baptist Church near Swinton, Missouri, and she survives of the home.
Also surviving are three brothers, Bill White of Union, Missouri, Jim White of Illinois and Daniel White of Wappappello, Missouri; three sisters, Christine Smith, Sheila Gee and Jeannie White, all of Sikeston, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews and family members who loved him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
Funeral will be at noon at the chapel, with the Rev. Gary Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery near Swinton.
