JACKSON -- Kenneth John Suhr, 84, of Jackson died Sunday, Feb. 22, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 11, 1913, in Oak Ridge, son of Frederich C. and Josephine Wilke Suhr. He and Verna Mae Thompson were married Aug. 20, 1942, at Gordonville.
Suhr worked at the former Jackson Hosiery Mill. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Suhrs moved to Jackson in 1989 from Oak Ridge. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include a sister, Clodean Proffer of Oak Ridge.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
