Kenneth Wayne Schlegel, 47, of Farmington, Mo., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 24, 1963, in Cape Girardeau, to William A. and Lavada Ann Heuring Schlegel. He and Lisa Moyers were married May 27, 1989, in Cape Girardeau.
He had worked at ISP Minerals in Annapolis, Mo., as a mechanical engineer. He graduated from Scott City High School in 1981 and University of Missouri-Rolla in 1985. He loved to hunt and fish and was an avid Jimmy Johnson fan.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Schlegel of Farmington; a daughter, Jessica Lee Schlegel of Farmington; father, William A. Schlegel, and mother, Lavada Ann Schlegel, both of Kelso, Mo.; and a sister, Janice Winder of Murray, Ky.
Friends may call from 1 p.m. to service time Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
