Kenneth Miller

JACKSON, Mo. -- Kenneth C. Miller, 63, died Thursday, July 25, 2002 at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 11, 1938 at Greenbrier, Mo., son of Denzil B. and Etta M. Garner Miller. He and Kathryn D. Deneke were married June 23, 1973 at Gordonville, Mo.

Miller graduated from Advance High School, and then served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1963. He also served in the Army Reserve until 1967, and had worked at Rhodes Oil Company, R. B. Potashnick Construction, and for 25 years with the Co-op Service Center in Jackson. He retired in 1999, and then drove a van for the Lutheran Home. He was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church, its Methodist Men's Club, and had served on various committees.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kirk C. Miller, and a daughter, Kristin Miller, all of Jackson; two brothers, Vernon Miller of Jackson and Hershel Miller of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Frieda Bitterman of Advance, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Freeman Miller.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, and 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, with the Rev. Ann Mowery officiating.
