Kenneth E. "Kenny" Mayfield, 60, of Jackson passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017, at his home.
He was born April 4, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ralph E. and Vera D. Rhodes Mayfield. He and Tammie Elizabeth Boese were married May 24, 1980, in Chaffee, Missouri.
Kenny was a 1975 graduate of Jackson High School. He worked at the former Jackson International Shoe Factory, the former Suedekum Electric in Cape Girardeau and for 31 years at Rubbermaid in Jackson.
In his free time, Kenny kept busy doing small-engine repairs.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Millersville.
He enjoyed traveling and barbecuing with friends and family.
In addition to his wife of nearly 37 years, Tammie Mayfield of Jackson, survivors include a son, Chad (Robin) Mayfield of Oran, Missouri; a daughter, Ashley (Chance) McDowell of Jackson; six grandchildren, Elijah, Bradley, Ayden, Laney, Camren and Rozlyn; his parents, Ralph and Vera Mayfield of Jackson; a brother, Douglas (Denise) Mayfield of Millersville; and his furry feline friends, Callie and Baby Sue.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Larry Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
The family suggests contributions be made to the church or charity of choice.
