Kenneth L. Hurt, 62, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, June 14, 2008, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 8, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, son of James and Opal Griffith London Hurt.
He was employed by Florsheim as a shoe edge setter, and was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. He was also an avid pool player.

Survivors include a son, Ricky Lee Hurt of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Kimberly Ann Hurt of Cape Girardeau; five brothers, Keith, Don, Avery and Frank of Jackson and Garry of Cape Girardeau; and two sisters, Gloria Jean Steger of Cape Girardeau and Brenda Baker of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his father, mother and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Pringle officiating. Burial will be at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
