JACKSON -- Funeral service for Kenneth Gene Heimbaugh of Union will be held at 11 a.m. today at Midlawn Funeral Home in Union. The Revs. Lowell Welker and Donald Simmons will officiate, with burial in Midlawn Memorial Gardens.
Heimbaugh, 69, died Monday, Oct. 21, 1996, at his home.
He was born Oct. 5, 1927, near Burfordville, son of Curtis and Ruby Niblack Heimbaugh. He and Alberta June Kimker were married Dec. 31, 1953.
Heimbaugh was a 1945 graduate of Jackson High School, served in the U.S. Navy five years, and then received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla.
He was a construction superintendent until starting his own company, Moval Contractors Inc. at Union. He retired after 30 years in business.
Heimbaugh served on the United Bank of Union Board of Directors, director of Union Fire Protection District, member of Franklin County Building Commission and American Legion Post 297.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Barbara Hoberock of Washington, Mo.; two sons, Gary Heimbaugh of Ballwin, William Heimbaugh of Tyler, Texas; a sister, Betty Hahs of Jackson; and seven grandchildren.
