Kenneth E. Dobson, 82, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, July 18, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 3, 1914, in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of Everett and Margaret A. Close Dobson. He and Eileen Philpott were married June 5, 1937, in Elgin, Ill.
Dobson owned and operated the K.E. Dobson Plumbing and Heating Co. in Negaunee, Mich., from 1952 until retiring in 1979. He worked in the shipyards in Green Bay, Wis., from 1942-46.
The Dobsons moved to Cape Girardeau in 1994. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Dennis Dobson of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Nancy Wood of Esther, Alaska, and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
