Kenneth Ray Cassout, 75, of Scott City died Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, at his home.

He was born June 23, 1945, in Cape Girardeau to Bernie and Gladys Opal King Cassout. He married Connie Sue Pulliam on April 3, 1980.

He was a riverboat captain and was a member of First Assembly of God in Scott City.

He is survived by his wife, Connie; two daughters, LeAndra (John) Allen and Sarah (Blaine) Blaylock of Scott City; a son, Chad Cassout of Arlington, Texas; a stepdaughter, Stacey (Justin) Thompson of Dexter, Missouri; four stepgrandchildren, Aaron, Katie, Evan and Austin; a brother, Jay (Glenda) Cassout of Scott City; and four grandchildren, Joshua and Olivia Armstrong and Colin and Carly Blaylock.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jeffrey Cassout; a brother; and a sister.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
