Kenneth Buck

JACKSON, Mo. -- Kenneth Leslie Buck, 68, of Jackson died Friday, Aug. 2, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 19, 1933, in Cape Girardeau, son of Dorman and Georgia Smith Buck. He and Bessie Daniel were married April 3, 1953, in St. Louis.

Buck grew up in Commerce, Mo., and graduated from Kelly High School at Benton, Mo.

He worked 30 years at Western Electric. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville, Mo., St. Mark's Masonic Lodge 93, Allied Masonic Degrees, Knights York Rite Cross of Honor, and was currently sovereign master of Holy Royal Arch Knight Templer.

Past offices Buck held include: president of Zion United Methodist Men's Club, master of St. Mark's Masonic Lodge, worthy patron of Order of Eastern Star 155, high priest of Wilson Chapter 175 of Royal Arch Masons, illustrious master of Cape Council 20, commander of Cape Commandery 55, grand commander of state of Missouri, and puissant sovereign of St. Louis Conclave Red Cross of Constitine.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Debra Marsh of Camden, Ark., Karen Bradshaw of Gordonville, Leslie Davis of Jackson, Mo.; three brothers, George Buck of Claremore, Okla., Steve Buck of Caseyville, Ill., Vernon Buck of Waipahu, Hawaii; four sisters, Barbara McIntyre of Cape Girardeau, Jeanette Pentecost of St. Louis, Carol Swinford of Chaffee, Mo., Linda Volz of Marble Hill, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 4 to 8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7:45.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Kuehle officiating. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Cemetery at Gordonville.
