Kendall Mungle

Kendall E. Mungle, 64, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2008, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Nov. 15, 1944, in Charleston, Mo., son of Edward and Elizabeth Reynolds Mungle. He and Cecilia Puebla Gomez were married July 20, 2002, in Cape Girardeau.

Mungle was a member of Cornerstone General Baptist Church in Bertrand, Mo. He worked for Loyd Slinkard Painting Co. and was a member of Local Painters Union 1292. He was a local musician in the band Ken and the Goldtones.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Brian Mungle of Tiptonville, Tenn.; three stepsons, Carl A. and Robert Boitnott of Cape Girardeau, William J. Boitnott of Chaffee, Mo.; a sister, Carol McCullough of Queen City, Texas; a grandchild, J.D. Mungle of Cape Girardeau; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Greg Jines; a daughter, Michelle Mungle; a brother, Stanley Mungle; and a sister, Virginia L. Long.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Winston O. Williford Sr. officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Memorial contributions may be made to Salvation Army or Teen Challenge International Mid-America.
