SIKESTON -- Kelly L. Wethington, 25, of Sikeston died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center from injuries in an automobile accident. He was born Sept. 17, 1973, in Dexter, son of Lloyd "Sully" and Wilma Joann Driscoll Wethington. He was a 1991 graduate of Sikeston Senior High School and raced at the Sikeston Drag Strip. SIKESTON -- Kelly L. Wethington, 25, of Sikeston died Friday, Jan. 15, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center from injuries in an automobile accident.

He was born Sept. 17, 1973, in Dexter, son of Lloyd "Sully" and Wilma Joann Driscoll Wethington. He was a 1991 graduate of Sikeston Senior High School and raced at the Sikeston Drag Strip. He had worked as a steel fabricator for Steward Steel Co.

On Dec. 23, 1994, he married Leslie Leonard in Benton. She survives.

Survivors include a daughter, Mallory Wethington, of the home; a brother, Mike Wethington of Beaumont, Texas; and two sisters, Mary Williams of Lilbourn and Lois Pruitt of Sikeston.

He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Garry Zook officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
