GLENALLEN, Mo. -- Kelly C. Frymire, 73, of Glenallen passed away Sept. 17, 2010, at his home following a long battle with lung cancer and emphysema.
He was born Jan. 18, 1937, in Grassy, Mo., to Noah Dempsy and Dinnia Williams Frymire. Kelly was the youngest of 11 children. For many years he worked as a boiler maker with Nooter Construction Co. He was an Army veteran, having served with the 82nd Airborne Division from 1957 to 1959. Until recently he operated Kelly's Place near Glenallen.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Joyce Lee Denson Frymire; four children, Daniel Lee (Tammy) Frymire, Kathy Diane Sitzes Cotter (Brad), Kelly Joanne Lavear (Tim) and Clinton Wayne (Mary) Frymire; one brother, Donald Frymire; 11 grandchildren, Leeann Fife, Daniel Frymire Jr., Bailey and Kelsey Cotter, Anthony, Andrew and Kassandra Lavear, Dalton, Weston and Jolene Frymire, Tristen Rosalez; and five great-grandchildren, Vincent, Johnathan, Mackenziee, Colin and Ali.
His parents, his brothers and sisters and a grandson, Coty James Cotter, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Gene Robbins officiating.
Burial will follow at the family's Frymire Cemetery with military honors.
