Kay L. Sander, 75, of Pagedale, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Mo.

He was born April 23, 1930, in Cape Girardeau, son of Arthur Charles and Emma Pauline Rubel Sander.

Sander was a graduate of Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

He had worked at McDonald Concrete in Cape Girardeau, was an auditor with State Department of Unemployment Security 33 years in Cape Girardeau and St. Louis. He was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ and United Commercial Travelers.

Sander served in the Missouri National Guard.

Survivors include a brother, Van Arden Sander of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Zelta Green, Janice Dettmann and Yvonne Papendick, all of St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Heckman officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
