MARBLE HILL -- Katie Thomas Leadbetter, 88, of Marble Hill, died Thursday, July 11, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 24, 1908, at New Memphis, Ill., daughter of Herman and Alice Roseberry Jenning. She and Rev. Harry Thomas were married July 23, 1926. He died Oct. 28, 1973. She and Paul Leadbetter were married Nov. 4, 1977. He died April 21, 1986...

MARBLE HILL -- Katie Thomas Leadbetter, 88, of Marble Hill, died Thursday, July 11, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 24, 1908, at New Memphis, Ill., daughter of Herman and Alice Roseberry Jenning. She and Rev. Harry Thomas were married July 23, 1926. He died Oct. 28, 1973. She and Paul Leadbetter were married Nov. 4, 1977. He died April 21, 1986.

Leadbetter was a member of Locust Grove General Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Loretta Anello of Marble Hill; a brother, Frank Jenning of Inglewood, Calif.; four grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by six brothers.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 5 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Arzie Long officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park.
