ORAN -- Kathryn "Katie" Brinker, 75, of Oran died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston. She was born Aug. 14, 1924, at Fornfelt, daughter of John and Leona Wahl Wilhelm. She and Henry Brinker were married April 25, 1951. Brinker co-owned and operated Brinker Brothers Service Station, retiring in 1982. ORAN -- Kathryn "Katie" Brinker, 75, of Oran died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2000, at Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

She was born Aug. 14, 1924, at Fornfelt, daughter of John and Leona Wahl Wilhelm. She and Henry Brinker were married April 25, 1951.

Brinker co-owned and operated Brinker Brothers Service Station, retiring in 1982. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and its St. Ann Sodality.

Survivors include her husband; three sisters, Clara Mae Sailer of Scott City, Peggy Butler of Cape Girardeau, and Mary Stewart of Benton.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7:30, and Knights of Columbus prayers at 8.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Guardian Angel Church, with the Rev. Lewis Hejna officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
