FARMINGTON, Mo. -- Kathy Ann Wills, 57, of Farmington passed away Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born July 24, 1953, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Lorene Triller Newell and the late James Bobby Brown.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Lynn Newell.

Kathy graduated from Jackson High School in 1971. She attended Metro Business College and worked in the Jackson/Cape Girardeau area.

She met the love of her life, Thomas David Wills III, on July 4, 1975. They were married March 4, 1978, at Emanuel United Church of Christ in Jackson.

Tom and Kathy moved to Farmington in 1980. Kathy was the ultimate homemaker who enjoyed interior decorating and crafts. She was a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Farmington, where she taught children's church with her husband the past 26 years. Her family was the pride of her life's work. To know Kathy was to love her.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Lorene Newell of Jackson; two daughters, Amanda Brooke (Bryan) Hake of Springfield, Mo., Lindsey Ann (John Cody) Eaves of Farmington; a stepdaughter, Amy Michelle Weedman of Farmington; two grandchildren, Madison and Jacob; four sisters, Karen (Ralph) Green, Charlotte Kaye (Michael) Weston, Karla (Dan) Huffman, Kristie (Kenny) Hutson; five brothers, Victor Ken (Kim) Brown, Jeff Brown, Kerry Brown, James Kevin (Lila) Brown, Billy (Debbie) Newell; a sister-in-law, Cheryl (Bob) Clingingsmith; a brother-in-law, Dr. James W. (Donna) Wills, all of Jackson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today and 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at Cozean Memorial Chapel.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at First Free Will Baptist Church in Farmington, with Roger Hogan officiating.

Memorials may be made to Salvation Army, MADD or Youth for Christ.
