Funeral for Kathryn "Kay" Trauernicht of Sarasota, Fla., was held Sunday at Shipman Funeral Home in Bismarck, Mo. Deacon Tony Snodgrass officiated. Burial was in Bismarck Masonic Cemetery.
Trauernicht, 82, died Friday, July 14, 2000, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.
She was born Jan. 30, 1918, in Park Hills, Mo., daughter of Anthony and Sarah Meade Snodgrass. She and Stanley Trauernicht were married in 1936. He died Dec. 18, 1995.
The Trauernichts were formerly of Cape Girardeau, moving to Sarasota 13 years ago.
Trauernicht had been supervisor of three Lowenbaum Manufacturing plants in Southern Illinois before retiring. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Beta Sigma Phi, and was an Alpha Xi master.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita England of Sarasota; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and a grandson.
