CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Kathryn E. Ross, 88, of Chaffee died Monday, March 5, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 18, 1918, in Banner, Ky., daughter of Barley and Polly Ann Crumb Jones. She and William Ross were married May 16, 1955. He died Nov. 18, 1967...

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Kathryn E. Ross, 88, of Chaffee died Monday, March 5, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 18, 1918, in Banner, Ky., daughter of Barley and Polly Ann Crumb Jones. She and William Ross were married May 16, 1955. He died Nov. 18, 1967.

Ross was a former member of the First Assembly of God Church in Chaffee.

Survivors include three daughters, Claudia Marion of Chaffee, Donna Young of Naylor, Mo., Jo Ann Bear of St. Louis; three sons, William Ross of Pacific, Mo., Larry and Gary Ross of St. Louis; 31 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, a great-granddaughter, seven brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Revs. C.B. Stidham and William Marshall officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
