KATHLEEN MYERS

EAST PRAIRIE -- Kathleen Myers, 75, of East Prairie died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2000, at her home.

She was born March 22, 1924, in Mississippi County, daughter of Elmer and Nora Couch. She had lived most of her life in East Prairie, where she was a member of the Full Gospel Church. She and Joe B. Myers were married on Feb. 26, 1938. He died Jan. 21, 1982.

Survivors include one son, the Rev. Gary Myers of Morehouse; seven daughters, Marie Myers and Betty Mitchell, both of Centralia, Ill., Joetta Blumenberg of Wright City, Penny Houston of Moscow Mills, and Shirley Chance, Vicky Sanders and Rita Myers, all of East Prairie; one sister, Sarah Smith of Sikeston; 30 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Mike Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery.
