ORAN, Mo. -- Kathleen Jackson, 87, of Oran died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 7, 1917, at Sikeston, Mo., daughter of Chris and Lizzie Bishop Hollingsworth. She and Verlin Jackson were married July 21, 1937. He died Oct. 18, 1990...

ORAN, Mo. -- Kathleen Jackson, 87, of Oran died Monday, Aug. 30, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 7, 1917, at Sikeston, Mo., daughter of Chris and Lizzie Bishop Hollingsworth. She and Verlin Jackson were married July 21, 1937. He died Oct. 18, 1990.

Jackson was a member of Trinity Methodist Church and Sunshine Methodist Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Verleen Pobst of Oran, Judy Newman of Ohatchee, Ala.; two brothers, Leniel Hollingsworth of Arvada, Colo., Ed Hollingsworth of Seward, Alaska; a sister, Billie Nichols of Russellville, Ark.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 4 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Trinity Methodist Church. The Rev. Jack Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Mo.
