Kathleen Akers, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Kathleen Akers, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, July 29, 2001, at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
She was born Jan. 13, 1924, at Sesser, Ill., daughter of Arnold and Luella Hagle Rowark.
Akers was a secretary at DLH Services Inc., retiring earlier this year. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Chaffee, Mo.

Survivors include two sisters, Elizabeth McFerron of Chaffee, Bess Sheibley of Elkhart, Ind.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
There is no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Marty Blakey will officiate.
