ULLIN, Ill. -- Karolyn Carr, 81, of Ullin died Monday, Oct. 3, 2005, at Heartland Care Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 19, 1924, in Cairo, Ill., daughter of George J. and Doris Bucher Klein.
Carr was formerly of Mounds, Ill. and Cairo, Ill. She had been an inhalation therapist at the former St. Mary's Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Mound City, Ill., where she served as a eucharistic minister, sang in the choir, and was a member of St. Mary's Sodality.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Carr-Baudendistel of Jackson, Barbara Cook of Urbandale, Ill.; two sons, Michael Carr of Martinez, Ga., Paul Carr of Chicago Heights, Ill.; a sister, Marian Hurley of Ullin; two brothers, Karl Klein of Cairo, Howard Klein of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo, and after 9 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Cairo. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and 10:15 a.m. Friday.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Church, with Monsignor Bill McGhee officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery at Villa Ridge, Ill.
