Karl F. Lueker, 100, died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008, at the Lutheran Home, where he had resided five years.
He was born Aug. 23, 1907, in Hamel, Ill., son of Adolph and Wilhelmine Kroeger Lueker. He and Alma Koenig were married Oct. 1, 1948, in Logan, Ohio.
Lueker was a longtime resident of Ste. Genevieve, Mo. He farmed many years then was a butcher at Huck's Grocery Store. He was a member of American Legion.
He served in the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include a sister, Laura Varner of Springfield, Va.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters and a brother.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Holy Cross Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ste. Genevieve, with the Rev. Lawrence Bradt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with full military honors.
Wood Family Funeral Home in Ste. Genevieve is in charge of arrangements.
