Justine Wasem Willis, 92, Cape Girardeau died Sunday, June 19, 1994, at the Chateau Girardeau Health Center.
She was born Nov. 28, 1901, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Harry and Bertha Brucher Wasem. On Dec. 25, 1923, she married Dr. Herbert Willis in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death on May 10, 1989.
She was a member of the St. Joseph auxiliary in Murphysboro, Ill. and was graduate of Southeast Missouri State Teacher's College. She earned her master's degree in French Literature at Northwestern University. She and her husband moved to Chateau Girardeau in 1987 from Murphysboro, Ill., and she was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church here.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Allred, of Evanston, Ill., and three grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday Christ Episcopal Church in Cape. The Rev. Brant Hazlett will officiate, and Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charrge of the arrangements.
