DEXTER -- Jesteen Palmer, 75, of Dexter died Saturday, Oct. 11, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 19, 1922, in Portageville, the daughter of John William and Siner Clement Moss. She had been a resident of California for 22 years, had lived in Dexter since 1981 and had lived in the Crowley Ridge Care Center the past two years.
On Nov. 12, 1942, she married Nelson Lee Palmer at Sikeston.
She was a homemaker and attended the First Nazarene Church in Dexter.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Ronnie Palmer of Dexter and Richard Palmer of Newhall, Calif.; a daughter, Janice Crawford of Chanhassen, Minn.; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and three sisters, Irene Yount of Sikeston, Louise Hill of North Bend, Ore., and Betty Hanback of Gaylord, Mich.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Palmer officiating. Burial will be at Mounds Cemetery in Lilbourn.
