MARBLE HILL -- Junior Oscar Rhodes, 65, of Marble Hill Route 1, died Monday, Nov. 25, 1991 at John Cochran V.A. Medical Center in St. Louis.
He was born Oct. 20, 1926 at Bessville, the son of Oscar Franklin Rhodes and Beulah A. Butler Rhodes.
He married the former Viola Robins on Sept. 18, 1955. She survives.
He worked as a machinist for Bemis Company in St. Louis, retiring 15 years ago. He moved to Bollinger County after his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Myron Oscar Rhodes, Dellwood; two daughters, Marla June Rhodes and Carol Jean Rhodes, both of Marble Hill; three brothers, Harley Sitze, Clark Sitze and Melvin Sitze, all of Marble Hill; four sisters, Evelyn Robins and Edna Irvin, both of Marble Hill, Lola Henson, Maplewood, Linda Long, Marquand; and two grandchildren.
One sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Baker Funeral Home Thursday after 6 p.m.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Alonzo Rhodes and the Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery near Marble Hill. The Marble Hill VFW Post 5900 will conduct graveside rites.
