BLOOMFIELD -- Ernest Edwards Jr., 75, of Bloomfield died Sunday, Dec. 19, 1999, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.
He was born Nov. 15, 1924, at Dexter, son of Ernest and Mabel Jarrell Edwards. He and Betty Trammell were married March 18, 1950.
Edwards spent most of his life in the Bloomfield community. He had worked for Missouri Highway Department and also farmed.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Calvin Edwards of Bloomfield; a daughter, Debbie Massey of Spring City, Tenn.; a stepson, Jerry Brown of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a brother, Floyd Edwards of Dexter; a sister, Opal Stickles of Dexter; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Clifford Wray officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery near Dexter.
