JACKSON, Mo. -- Funeral for June Ruff of Hattiesburg, Miss., will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. The Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will officiate. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery at Tilsit, Mo.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. today.

Ruff, 91, died Thursday, Nov. 1, 2001, at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

She was born June 15, 1910, at Scott City, Mo., daughter of Jacob and Minnie Suedekum Wendel. She and Wilson Lee Ruff were married Nov. 8, 1935. He died Dec. 6, 1987.

Ruff was a graduate of Jackson High School. In 1961, the Ruffs moved to Hattiesburg, where she was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a son, Wendel Ruff of Jackson, Miss.; two daughters, Lee June Chandler of Little Rock, Ark., Brenda Blackburn of Picayune, Miss.; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
