ZALMA -- Julius Carver, 73, of Zalma, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Jan. 26, 1921, in Prague, Okla., son of Jessie and Beulah Mae Robbins Carver. He and Mary Abernathy were married Aug. 30, 1946, in Piggott, Ark.
Carver retired as a pump mechanic at the water treatment plant in Fairbanks, Ark. He was a member of Marble Hill VFW, and Masonic Lodge 545 at Zalma. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; four brothers, Earnest Carver of Corcoran, Calif., Gorden Carver of Grandin, Jack Carver of Dallas, Texas, Earl Carver Jr. of Sacramento, Calif., and a sister, Betty Morris of Lincoln, Calif.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 5:30-8:30 p.m. today. Masonic service will be at 7.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Eldo Eaker officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery, with military graveside rites.
