Julious A. "Bud" Myers Sr., 84, of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Oak Ridge, died Monday, May 25, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 13, 1935, in Painton, Missouri, to Joseph and Ava Lorene Menz Myers. He and Joyce Slinkard were married March 15, 1960, at Bloomfield, Missouri.

He served in the Army.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Myers of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Oak Ridge; daughters, Sandra Kay (Chris) Torbet of Jackson, Alice Fay (Keith) Skelton of Oak Ridge, Deborah Jean (David) Woodson of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Doris (Troy) Grimes and Glenda (Rick) Merseal, both of St. Louis; son, Julious Allen Myers Jr. of Cape Girardeau; four brothers; three sisters; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, one sister, one grandchild and numerous great-grandchildren.

A private visitation and service will be held Saturday, May 30, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronnie Brown officiating, followed by full military honors. A private burial will be Wednesday at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

It was well known that Bud loved his friends, which are many, but due to the pandemic, we are requesting the presence of the immediate family only. However, your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
