BELL CITY, Mo. -- Julian Carr Steiner, 73, of Bell City passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born June 8, 1947, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to Phillip and Margaret Steiner. He married Teresa Warren on May 21, 1977. She survives of the home.
He worked his entire life in the industrial manufacturing field and was director of the Industrial Development Authority of Stoddard County. He also was a proud American veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the Air Force. He was a member of Bell City United Methodist Church.
Julian enjoyed many hobbies. His two favorite would have been front porch sitting with his wife, his family and friends, and watching his grandchildren in all of their endeavors.
He is survived by two daughters, Denise (Jeff) Funston of Festus, Missouri, and Kelli (Matt) Asher of Bell City. He was a proud papa to six grandchildren -- Avery, Drew, Maggie, Maddie, Jake and Delaney -- and a proud uncle to one niece, Katherine Steiner of Greensboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Phil Steiner; and grandson, Drew Asher.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance, Missouri.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Bell City United Methodist Church.
