SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Julia Ellen Lynn of Scott City will be held at 10 a.m. today at Unity Baptist Church in Benton. The Rev. Dale Huff will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the church after 9 a.m.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
Lynn, 72, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Feb. 27, 1924, in Pawnee County, Okla., daughter of Wesley and Ona Armstrong Strosnider. She and William A. Lynn were married June 1, 1942, at Jackson. He died Jan. 24, 1973.
Lynn had been a cook at St. Francis Medical Center and Gibson Center in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of New Savannah Baptist Church at Blodgett.
Survivors include a son, John Lynn of Salt Lake City, Utah; three daughters, Patricia Stuckey of Holts Summit, Lynda Carter of Scott City, Catherine Toner of Edwardsville, Ill.; a brother, John Strosnider of Hemet, Calif.; two sisters, Catherine Kerby of Scott City, Alice Mayfield of Tyler, Texas; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, daughter and two sisters.
