Judy Rohr, 78, of Jackson passed away unexpectedly Thursday, April 5, 2024, at her home.

Judy was born Sept. 26, 1945, in St. Louis. She was very proud of her upbringing on a dairy farm in Festus, where she grew up surrounded by love and frequent get-togethers with her large, extended family of cousins, aunts and uncles. Judy’s many talents and hobbies included designing quilts, machine embroidering, sewing, following the lives and accomplishments of her grandchildren, completing puzzles with her grandson Derek, traveling (which varied from camping in a fifth wheel, taking cherished “Cousin Cruises” with her extended family and international trips to Scotland and England), and cooking way too much food for the holidays.

Judy spent her retirement doing anything but “retiring”. Her list of volunteer activities was long and included the following: being a member of the Jackson Evening Lions Club, representing children as a child advocate with the family court system and honoring veterans at the Veterans Memorial in Perryville. This attributes to the deep shock and sadness her family now feels with her sudden passing. She was an all-or-nothing person who typically gave all she had while going 100 miles a minute. From her volunteering to her caring for her grandchildren, she will be missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Cary; children, Ron (Karen) Randen of Neosho, Michael (Melissa) Randen of Jackson and Nicole (Patrick) Henn of Burton, Michigan; sister, Marilyn (Terry) Yesberg of Crystal City; brothers, Mike (Joyce) Roth of Herculaneum and Gene (Sharon) Roth of De Soto; stepchildren Greg Rohr of Ottawa, Kansas, Kelly Rohr of Chicago and Adrianne (Steven) Heithoff of Elkhorn, Nebraska; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
