Judy Filer-McCullough, 57, of Centennial, Colo., passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Porter Hospice.
She was born May 18, 1956, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Buford C. and Alice Hansen Filer. She and Roger McCullough were married Aug. 7, 1976, in Jackson.
Judy graduated from Jackson High School in 1974. She received a BSRN from Southeast Missouri State University, and an MNA and MBA from the University of Phoenix. She devoted her life to a career in health care and management. Judy was a member of South Suburban Christian Church in Centennial and the Cape Girardeau Red Hat Society, and was an avid angel collector.
Loving survivors include her husband of 37 years, Roger; her mother, Alice Filer of Jackson; two sisters, Linda (David) Lucero of Lakewood, Colo., Carol (Richard) Reddick of Cape Girardeau; two nephews, Tyson (Christina) Brugger and Joseph Filer; six nieces, Katie, Becky and Ali Filer, Marin, Kelsey and Cate McCullough; two great-nephews, Dalton and Lance Brugger; mother-in-law, Mary McCullough Moyers of Jackson; brother-in-law, Kevin (Stacy) McCullough of St. Louis; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Filer Grinnell of Elizabethtown, Ky.; an uncle, Jack (Nel) Hansen of Burnsville, Minn.; three aunts, Wilda Stieferman of Jefferson City, Mo., Jan VanGennip of Jackson and Kathy Wallis of Valley Park, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her father, Buford Filer; and a brother, John Michael Filer.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, at which time Jerry Stieferman will officiate the service at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
