Judith Gilbert

Judith Racquel Gilbert, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022, at Lutheran Home.

She was born Dec. 30, 1939, in Cape Girardeau to Homer Monroe and Margaret Schlue Gilbert.

Survivors include five sisters, Bette J. Ruester of Cape Girardeau, Sarah Froemsdorf of Holts Summit, Missouri, Monica Metzger and Margaret Janice Ramey, both of Jackson, and Jackie Pender of Frohna, Missouri; brother, John Michael Gilbert of Holts Summit; and many nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Monroe and Margaret Schlue Gilbert, and a brother, Homer Francis Gilbert.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau.

A private family service will follow. Entombment will be at the mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Bette J. Ruester in care of funeral expenses.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
