Judith Ann Brittain, 84, of Jackson died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at her home. She was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Vanduser, Mo., to Clarence and Helen Gist Moore. She married George H. Brittain Oct. 15, 1947. He died May 21, 1991. Brittain was a seamstress by trade and worked many years from her house. She also had Attic Treasures Craft Store in Alabama. She worked for RM Coco in Cape Girardeau until retiring in 2007 at the age of 81...

Judith Ann Brittain, 84, of Jackson died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at her home.

She was born Jan. 17, 1927, in Vanduser, Mo., to Clarence and Helen Gist Moore. She married George H. Brittain Oct. 15, 1947. He died May 21, 1991.

Brittain was a seamstress by trade and worked many years from her house. She also had Attic Treasures Craft Store in Alabama. She worked for RM Coco in Cape Girardeau until retiring in 2007 at the age of 81.

Judith is survived by four daughters, twins Barbara Ann Ballenger and Beverly Kay Parton, Brenda Brittain Knight, all of Villa Rica, Ga., Bama Lyn Brittain-Altom of Jackson; a sister, Melba Mae Job of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Private services were held Sunday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
