SIKESTON, Mo. -- Julian "Jude" Everett Pease, 70, died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, at his home in Sikeston.
Jude was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Maynard, Ark., to the late Murray and Mildred Moody Pease. On Jan. 16, 1981, he married his best friend, Shirley Black, and she survives.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962. He had worked as an over-the-road truck driver and at Santie Oil before retiring.
Other survivors include two sons, Dwayne (Pamela) Pease of Dexter, Mo., and Jimmy (Kim) Cantrell of Sikeston; two daughters, Beth (Rob) Scheper of Cape Girardeau, Chantelle (Jamie) White of Sikeston; three brothers, Lavon (Inell) Pease of Maynard, Lester Pease of Benton, Mo., and Carl (Martha) Pease of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Anna Freeman of Sikeston; 12 grandchildren, Josh, Ben, Kacy, Tanner, Noah, Austin, Kaylee, Matt, Josh, Jeff, Jason and Erin; seven great-grandchildren, Landon, Kali, Khloe, Wyatt, Ada, Kinzley and Waylon; and his extremely devoted and loving dog, Barney.
Services were conducted Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Chad Bles officiating.
Burial with full military rites was at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Mo.
Pallbearers were, Jimmy Cantrell, Woody Smith, Dean Spurlock, Steve Burchfield, Jim Bartels and Ron Hess.
