Juanita May Niswonger, 86, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born Sept. 4, 1934, in Oak Ridge to Charles B. and Grace M. Moore Criddle. She and Dallas Niswonger were married July 2, 1951, in Oak Ridge. They had been married 55 years when Dallas passed away July 27, 2006...

Juanita May Niswonger, 86, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, March 11, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 4, 1934, in Oak Ridge to Charles B. and Grace M. Moore Criddle. She and Dallas Niswonger were married July 2, 1951, in Oak Ridge. They had been married 55 years when Dallas passed away July 27, 2006.

Juanita worked at the Florsheim Shoe factory in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1988 after 37 years of service.

She enjoyed doing puzzles and crocheting. In addition Juanita was also an avid seamstress. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include three sons, Lynn (Janie) Niswonger of Ocala, Florida; Don (Judy) Niswonger of Jackson; and Robert (Julie) Niswonger of Ocala; seven grandchildren, Laura (Brian) Arthur, Amy (Rich) Lucy, Nicole Parker, Michelle (Jen) Sims and David, Geoffrey and Jared Niswonger; 12 great·grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Dorothy Taylor of Lynchburg, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and two brothers, Charles W. "Bill" and David Lee Criddle.

Juanita will be privately laid to rest next to Dallas at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Due to COVID, the family will hold a public memorial service at a later date.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to a church or charity of choice.

Arrangements were by McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
