Juanita Mae Ratliff, 79, of Cape Girdeau died Saturday, Nov. 20, 1999, at her home.
She was born Sept. 9, 1920, in Clinton, Ky, the daughter of J.L. and Mary B. Rogers. She married Carl Ratliff in Pike County, Ky., on Jan. 20, 1939. He preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 1981. She and her husband opened Ratliff's Grocery in August 1950. She retired from the store in April 1997.
She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church and the Women's Ministries. She was a volunteer reader at May Greene Elementary School.
She is survived by five sons, Carlos Ratliff, Larry Ratliff, Dale Ratliff and Roger McNeely, all of Cape Girardeau, and Scott McNeely of Jackson; a daughter, Connie Reed of Jackson; three brothers, John Rogers of Nogales, Mexico, David Rogers of Park Hills and Ray Rogers of Sarasota, Fla.; two sisters, Ruby Lincoln and Jeanette Johnson, both of Rocky Mount; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a daughter.
Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. today at Ford & Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.
Funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Dr. C.J. Campbell, the Revs. Tommy Morris and Johnny Thomas will officiate, with burial at Memorial Park Cemetery.
