DIEHLSTADT -- Funeral service for Juanita M. Pemberton of Diehlstadt will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of Christ in Charleston. Charles McConkey will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 5:30 p.m. today, and at the church Friday from 9 a.m. to service time.
Pemberton, 74, died Tuesday, March 15, 1994, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born April 2, 1919, in Middlebrook, Ark., daughter of Scott and Lessie Johnson Bickford. She and Clarence Pemberton were married May 7, 1938.
Pemberton lived in Scott and Mississippi counties most of her life, and was a member of Church of Christ in Charleston.
Survivors include her husband; eight sons, Bobby, Walter, Michael and Mark Pemberton of Diehlstadt, Billy Pemberton of Rochelle, Ill., Wilburn Pemberton of Lone Oak, Ky., Larry Pemberton of Sycamore, Ill., Delbert Pemberton of Vanduser; five daughters, Carolyn Taylor and Patsy Orth of Sycamore, Sharon Dorris of Charleston, Pamela McConkey and Connie Pemberton of Diehlstadt; 59 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, brother and sister.
