JUANITA KELLEY

ANNA, Ill. -- Juanita R. Kelley, 87, of Anna died Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999, at Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Ala.

She was born March 13, 1912, in Wesson, Miss., daughter of Arthur and Susie Smith Russell. She and Dr. Kent Kelley were married April 20, 1942. He died Aug. 6, 1971.

Kelley was administrator of Hale-Willard Hospital in Anna from 1942-46, and retired after 30 years as a registered nurse at the former Anna State Hospital.

She had been a Red Cross nurse since July 1949, and was a board member of Union County Chapter of the American Red Cross. She was a life member of the Republican Presidential Task Force, and member of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include a brother, LaRoy Russell of Weaver, Ala.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna from 6-8 p.m. today, and Saturday until time of service.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Ron Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at Carterville.
