Juanita E. Haas, 81, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 30, 1923, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of J.D. and Jewel Horn Stewart. She and Kenneth P. Haas were married Dec. 28, 1953, at Cape Girardeau.
Haas was a longtime teacher at St. Vincent de Paul Grade School, from where she retired. She was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Church at Cape Girardeau. She received her bachelor's degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Thomas Haas of Washington, Mo.; two daughters, Susan Riehl of Cape Girardeau and Sara Doherty of Ballwin, Mo.; a brother, Dale Stewart of Stilwell, Kan.; a sister, Lawanda Kaiser of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Ford & Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home, with the vigil service starting at 7 p.m. and the Knights of Columbus rosary immediately following.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. Charles Prost officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
