MOREHOUSE -- Funeral service for Juanita Lucille Goodwin of Morehouse will be held at 10 a.m. today at First Pentecostal Church. The Revs. Jimmie Vent and Nathaniel Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
Goodwin, 81, died Sunday, June 1, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Dec. 3, 1915, at Salcedo, daughter of Frank and Ida Mae Jordan. She and Herman Goodwin were married June 6, 1933, at Bloomfield.
Goodwin had lived at Morehouse 50 years, and was a member of First Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Edward Goodwin of Yazoo City, Miss.; five daughters, Wanda Dillard, Geraldean Goodwin and Gala Hammon, all of Morehouse, Shirley Ledbetter of Belleville, Ill., Sharon Adamitis of Alton, Ill.; three brothers, Clifton Jordan of Circle City, Lewis Jordan of West Plains, Glen Jordan of DeSoto; a sister, Katheryn Whittley of Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
