CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Juanita E. Steckler, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, June 22, 1996, at Jackson Manor. She was born April 22, 1914, in Whitewater, daughter of Leo and Nancy Proffer Steckler.
She served as the church custodian of the Nazarene Church in Cape Girardeau.
She is survived by five sisters, Elode Steckler, Pearl Ross and Hazel Fiehler, all of Cape Girardeau, Helen Hitt of St. Louis and Verna Burnell of Tulsa, Okla.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau, with burial at Memorial Park. The Rev. William Burke will officiate.
