Joyce S. King, 68, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Life Care Center.

She was born Dec. 19, 1935, at Bell City, Mo., daughter of Paul and Estelle Garner Jennings. She and Paul David King were married Oct. 30, 1954, in Cape Girardeau. He died May 11, 1984.

King was employed 50 years at Limbaugh Law Firm. She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, was secretary 20 years and had also been treasurer. She had been secretary and treasurer of Women's Bowling Association, and secretary of Cape Bootheel Bowhunters Association.

Survivors include a son, Daniel King of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Boyd and Larry Jennings of Bell City; and two granddaughters, Abigail and Allison King of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Brenda Stanfield.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. William L. Burke officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
