ADVANCE, Mo. -- Funeral for Joyce Lee Fisher of Advance will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. The Rev. Tom Zych will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Advance.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.

Fisher, 68, died Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 24, 1932, at Advance, daughter of Asa and Helen Zimmer Rhodes. She and Sam Fisher were married July 4, 1952, in Washington, D.C.

Fisher was co-owner of Sam's Restaurant, and member of the United Methodist Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Advance High School.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Dennis Fisher of Littleton, Colo., Rusty Fisher of Englewood, Colo.; two daughters, Denise O'Hare of Advance, Sandra Wright of Mechanicsville, Va.; two brothers, Gene Rhodes of Cape Girardeau, Donald Rhodes of Bloomfield, Mo.; a sister, Inas Whittaker of Advance; and 10 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
